Terms of Service

Last updated 29 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Sagora, operated under ABN 61 166 854 288. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Sagora is — and is not

Sagora is an introduction service. We connect employers who need short-notice casual labour with workers looking for shifts.

Sagora is not an employer, and not a labour hire agency. We do not employ workers, do not supervise or direct work, and are not a party to the working arrangement. When an employer and a worker agree to a shift, the arrangement is between them. The employer is responsible for meeting their obligations as the engaging party — including any obligations under the Fair Work Act, work health and safety law, workers compensation, superannuation and labour hire licensing where it applies in their state.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 15 years old and legally entitled to work in Australia to use Sagora as a worker.
  • You must give accurate information, including about licences and tickets you hold.
  • You must hold, and keep current, any licence you claim. Uploading a false or expired document is grounds for immediate removal.
  • One account per person or business. Do not let anyone else use your account.

3. Jobs, hours and pay

  • Employers set the date, start time and end time when posting. Workers cannot change those hours — applying means accepting them as posted.
  • The hourly rate is set by the employer and shown before a worker applies.
  • Sagora calculates overtime and penalty rates automatically and shows them before anyone commits. These calculations are a convenience, not legal advice. The employer remains responsible for ensuring pay meets the relevant award or agreement — which may be higher than what is displayed.
  • Both parties confirm the start and the end of a shift in the app. Those timestamps are the record of what was worked.

4. Payment

  • Employers pay workers directly. Wages never pass through Sagora. We do not hold, transmit or guarantee wages, and we are not responsible for an employer failing to pay.
  • Sagora invoices the employer separately for our platform fee only.
  • Workers pay nothing. There is no fee, commission or deduction taken from a worker's wages, ever.

5. Our fee

  • The standard fee is 10% of the worker's wages for the shift, plus GST, charged to the employer.
  • The rate falls with your lifetime completed bookings: Trusted 9%, Preferred 8%, Elite 7%. A tier once earned is never lost.
  • Direct bookings through My Team, and recurring bookings, are charged at a flat 7%.
  • Invoices are payable within the terms shown on the invoice.

6. Going around the platform

If you find a worker on Sagora, engage them through Sagora. Hiring a worker you found here outside the platform within 24 months — to avoid our fee — incurs a fee of $500 per worker. This is not a penalty for working with someone again; it is the cost of the introduction we made. Book them through My Team at 7% instead and it does not apply.

7. Conduct

You must not:

  • Post jobs that are unsafe, unlawful, or that misrepresent the work, location or pay.
  • Discriminate against workers on any ground protected by Australian law.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, on the platform or on site.
  • Leave false reviews, or offer anything in exchange for a review.
  • Scrape the platform or use it to build a competing database.

8. Ratings and reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience of a completed shift. We may remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory or plainly false, but we do not verify every review and are not responsible for what users write about each other.

9. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms. You may delete your account at any time from My Profile — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted and what we are required to keep.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, Sagora is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a job will be filled, that a worker will arrive, that an employer will pay, or that any user is suitable, competent or honest. We are not liable for loss arising from the conduct of any user, from work performed or not performed, from injury on site, or from any dispute between an employer and a worker. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total platform fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Disputes between users

Disputes about work, hours or payment are between the employer and the worker. We may provide shift records to either party to help resolve a dispute, but we do not arbitrate and we do not pay out claims.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sagora after that means you accept the change.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that state.
